The Atlanta Adventure Challenge (AAC) will take place on Saturday April 7th, 2018 at the beautiful Fort Yargo State Park. An “Adventure Challenge” is perfect for the weekend warrior, new endurance athlete, corporate and family teams. Choose from a 3 Hour or a 6 Hour course in which the goal is to find as many CPs (Control Points) or flags with punches during the time allowed for each race. Teams will use a map, compass and your GPS device to locate CPs place around the park in which you will use a canoe, bike or trek to retrieve them. It’s like an adventure scavenge hunt while teams explore the hills, rivers, lakes, trails and beautiful woods in Fort Yargo State Park, Georgia.

The 3 Hour Challenge is perfect for corporate or family teams looking to have some fun discovering the outdoors. Easy to read and simple navigation will take you to some hidden spots around Fort Yargo State Park. Distances are always based on your teams abilities and speed, however between 5-7 miles of mountain biking, 2-4 miles of trekking with 1-3 miles of canoeing with a special fitness task mixed in the challenge.

Check-in starts at 7:00am to 8:00am with written instructions and (pre-plotted) map followed a pre-race meeting at 8:15am. Race start at 9:00am at Start/Finish location.  Pre-signing waivers by all team members before helps at check-in. All teammates must be present to check-in and receive instructions. The later you are the shorter the time to prepare, so make sure your whole team is there at 7 am.

We supply all canoes, paddles and PFDs, however teams may bring their own paddle gear if placed in paddle bags.

Water and snacks will be provided at the Start/Finish. GPS devises and cell phones are allowed. Make sure they are waterproof or in a sealed bag.

Race Includes: T-shirt, Race Medals, Food and Drink during race, Awards for each division and lunch at the end of race.

When pulling into park, pull up to gate and inform staff you are here for the race. You will pay no fee to enter the park for this race. Follow the signs to Picnic Shelter #5 (Start/Finish Location) and be instructed on where to park. A staging area will be set-up at check-in for bikes and paddling gear.
