NEW NON COMPETITIVE FAMILY DIVISION…Parents/adult mentors with kids and teens, take part in a condensed non competitive version of the race. Compass run and paddle legs leaving out the biking leg.
NEW CHALLENGES: Look for new and exciting challenges such as scaling a wall, crawling through a culvert, identifying 5 evergreen branches at an environmental station, a new compass bearing challenge, and perhaps of real interest for teens, is a paintball challenge where racers earn time off when hitting moving targets! We’ll keep the mud pit crawl and perhaps the log rolling (if the day isn’t too cold). Challenges along the race course are optional and can earn minutes off your overall course time.
DOOR PRIZE: All racers are entered in a drawing for a new Old Town Vapor Kayak, paddle and PFD donated by Old Town Canoe.
Course Changes Yearly, is about 20 miles, includes an off trail compass run approx. 1 mile, 10 miles of mountain biking on woods roads and trails, 8 miles of canoeing/kayaking, and challenges along the way as described above.
